First interview was a phone interview with a recruiter. I was expecting the interview to be standard recruiter questions but was surprised with how focused they were on the actual position. I thought the phone interview went fairly well. Never heard back after the phone interview. Even if you don't get the job I find it common courtesy to let the interviewee know you decided to go in a different direction.
