I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at XPO (Atlanta, GA) in Sep 2019
Interview
I was referred by an internal employee. I sent my resume by email to my contact at the company who forwarded it internally to the recruiter. I was contacted a couple weeks later by a recruiter to set up a phone interview. I did the phone interview with the recruiter which was fairly standard and basic screening questions, going over my resume and work history. She said she would be in touch soon to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. A couple weeks later I received an email on a Sunday evening after 11pm from the recruiter asking me to be available for a phone interview with the hiring manager at 9am the next day on Monday. I was asleep when the email came in after 11pm on a Sunday evening and by the time I saw it on Monday morning I was not able to arrange my schedule to be available at 9am on Monday. I sent an email to the recruiter to ask to reschedule. She again ( a second time) sent me an email after 11pm the next day asking me to be available for a phone interview with the hiring manager early the next morning. This is really unacceptable to expect candidates to be available on such short notice. I sent the recruiter back an email asking again to reschedule and requested that I needed 24 hours notice to confirm a date/ time for the interview. I never heard back from the recruiter and it has been 2 months. I guess my professionalism disqualified me from proceeding to the next round of interviews, but I would not want to work for a company that is this unprofessional. You can tell a lot about a company from their hiring process. Emailing candidates after 11pm and expecting them to be available at 9am the next day, not once, but twice, is extremely unprofessional and just unreasonable. Candidates have personal lives and are also currently working a full time job while interviewing for a new job and simply can not be expected to “jump” through these types of hoops in the interview process. Very disappointed with this entire interview process.

Wear a suit and tie. Bring resumes with you. It’s very formal, speak professionally and well. Other than that it was pretty chill, the hiring managers are cool people, can be intimidating at first.

There were three interviews total. Second interview you are able to actually see day to day by shadowing someone that is currently in the position. Best thing ever. Then you are able to actually see if this position will be a great fit for you or not.
