      Junior Engineer Interview

      Oct 1, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Melbourne
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Xero (Melbourne) in Sep 2025

      Interview

      1. Was a basic phone screening with HR. 2. Interview with the manager of the role. Mostly basic behavioral questions. 3. Technical interview which went over my previous experience, followed by a live coding test. The test was very simple and you could choose your own language. 4. In depth behavioral interview to go over your working style and cultural fit to the company. 5. Final interview with manager, similar to behavioral interview. The people I talked to were nice and professional. I received good feedback on every interview and was told I would receive an offer. However three weeks later the role was cancelled/repurposed. It was very disappointing after going through 5 interviews.
