I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Xero (Milton Keynes, England) in Mar 2016
Interview
Long, took 3 months to get to final interview stage. The many steps involved necessitate the candidate commiting to lengthy tasks to jump through each step. The final face to face interview is a sham. It is based on do they like the look of you. It was a waste of my time. One of the interviewer made little eye contact and wrote down very little as we moved through the final interview. Her body language made it clear I was not going to be offered the role.

I interviewed at Xero (Auckland, Auckland) in Apr 2026
Interview
I had initial screening and then 1 hour assessment with behavioural questions and video interview. It was fast and moderately difficult. Then after a week of the assessment submission I got an email from HR team for initial interview. I am yet to take part in this interview and this will the my opportunity learn more about the company and the hiring process.
Online assessments then in person interview. Basic interview questions like which values do you align with most and why do you want to work here. Online assessment questions were basic accounting knowledge such as accrual vs cash accounting.
