I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Xero (Melbourne) in Sep 2021
Interview
When I interviewed for Xero there were 3 rounds. The first round is a phone screening done by their internal HR. The second round is a meeting with 2 managers, I was interviewed by a product design director and product design manager. I talked through a case study and was asked a few behavioural questions. The 3rd and last round is a meeting with the team you will be working with, this included a product designer, product manager and tech lead. In this round I was asked behavioural questions on how I would work with various team members and stakeholders. All in all the short 3 round interview process is a breeze unlike other companies that require design challenges.
However my negative experience is with the internal HR. The HR representative that I dealt with took forever to get back to me. I had to follow up multiple times for a response and for my second interview there was no follow up at all. Please do not ghost your applicants and please take the courtesy to respond even if the applicant was not successful. Xero was the only company out of 20 other companies I interviewed for that ghosted me.

Interview
A thorough but friendly interview process, where the recruiter touched-base after each round. The entire process was remote due to covid-19. I chatted with the recruiter, design director and design manager, as well as panel of the wider team.
