      Customer Service Supervisor Interview

      Aug 10, 2021
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Gaithersburg, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Xometry (Gaithersburg, MD) in Jul 2021

      Interview

The interview started with the hiring manager (male) messaging me and scheduling a call which he rescheduled two times because he got in a car accident and also got sick within the same week. He eventually talked to me and it was incredibly rushed and there was no introduction to the roles (He called 10 minutes late on top of that) but I thought he was just having a tough week and was excited to meet the rest of the team. Somehow I made it to the next interview in which I spoke to 3 individuals. The first one arrived 15 minutes late to the zoom interview which was ridiculous, he did not apologize and just brushed it off with being busy and then proceeded to only speak about himself and the role, never asked me what I did but the last 5 minutes and seemed uninterested (not a surprise since I found later that he had already made up his mind about someone), at the very end of that interview 2 more people joined and just awkwardly waited for me to be done with what I was saying to rush the first person. The 2 gentlemen that proceeded were just odd, one completely took over the conversation and just used the younger male to validate whatever he had to say, he asked me a million questions and responded with everything being great. I had to ask the younger male to speak about his experience so I could hear more about him since I was going to be reporting to him and not the older guy. It was all extremely rushed in the beginning and then they overextended the second part with the 2 gentlemen. They immediately started talking about a ''circle'' who operates the entire thing and how I would be ''helping them'' with things but not really telling me much about my manager. They asked I be on call during Saturday and they schedule some sort of work from home on those days but additionally, the position was evening and ended at 10:00 pm but I was already asked to come in earlier and leave later. I proceeded with following up with an email and then another one a week later, I was told they were going through rounds of interviews, I finally sent a third email in which I was told the same thing ''I will have an update for you soon''. No update came by and I honestly feel relief, I dodged a major bullet. They do not seem to have appreciation or consideration for possible candidates' time, they do not follow up and they are always late and over-extend. Honestly possibly one of the worse experiences I've had during an interview.
