Recruiter interview was standard overall good experience. However the second interview with the two hiring managers was the worst interview experience I have ever had. They asked me some generic questions off a list and seemed like they were not even listening to me when I answered. After about 2-3 questions they asked me if I had any questions. Which I had a bunch of but I was more concerned they didn’t really learn anything about me so I tired to share more about why I’d be a good fit while asking them questions and relating my experience where I could. I think both of them were doing something completely else the entire time. The interview ended 25 minutes early. Of course I didn’t move the next stage. Maybe I was the 10th interview of the day but at least act like you care. Wouldn’t recommend it even applying to this company after an experience like that. Even if I had of gotten an offer I wouldn’t have accepted it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Xometry
Interview
1st step was a phone screen with a recruiter. It was 15 minutes and mostly informational. 2nd step was 2 back-to-back 30 minute interviews with hiring managers. I enjoyed the conversation but this did feel like too short of a window to actually display skills and candidacy. Similar to others, I received a generic no-reply email with a rejection on the following Friday. I reached out to request feedback, but have not heard back. Based on my experience and the tone of the hiring managers, I'm suspecting this might be a "Ghost Job" that they don't actually plan to fill at this time. It's worth pursuing and not a difficult process, just something to keep in mind since it seems others have had a similar experience.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Xometry in Sep 2023
Interview
3-month interview process:
Met with the Internal Recruiter three times between each interview, repeating the same information each time.
Participated in six separate interviews with various employees, including providing a presentation. Two times calls were cancelled 15 min beforehand. My time is just as valuable as yours and rearranged my schedule based on their availability.
Received a verbal offer with an agreed-upon start date and salary.
However, after accepting the offer, there was complete radio silence—no emails or calls—despite reaching out multiple times to various executive team members. Ghosting candidates is a recurring theme I am now seeing in this company’s interview reviews.
I explicitly communicated that I had turned down another job offer based on their commitment.
The conduct was incredibly unprofessional and inconsiderate, these companies need to acknowledge this is peoples livelihoods.
On a postive note, ended up being a blessing because joined an amazing company that truly values their employees.
