Interview
I was scheduled for an interview with Yahoo through my school co-op program. I provided information that the school conveyed to Yahoo interviewers that I was off-campus and unable to do the interview in person at the school and the school provided instructions for the Yahoo interviewers to call me. Waited 20 minutes after the interview was supposed to start and then emailed my advisor what was going on. 45 minutes into what should've been the interview I get an email saying that "circumstances changed and I will not be interviewed anymore and I should be expecting an email from a Yahoo rep explaining why". Still waiting on that email two weeks later, and doubt I'd get an explanation. Such a waste of time

The hiring manager did not show up at our originally scheduled meeting time. We rescheduled. The HM name dropped a bunch of big tech companies that they worked for in the past. It felt like the HM was hoping for me to provide a similar list of familiar brand names ... which was odd considering their supposed desire for more startup-y people.

The process was expected compared to most comparable jobs. Demonstrate and know your coding and you will do fine. The interview was fair and the hiring managers were all tech savvy. I accepted a different development position with another company a few days after the interview. It was a good experience overall.
