I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yahoo (New York, NY) in Feb 2008
Interview
I came in for an interview with a sales manager. Talked about my past experiences and the details of the position. It was more of a personality type of interview. After talking for a half hour, they took you out to the sales floor to sit with a rep for a few minutes, then if they liked you they asked you to put together a powerpoint presentation for the second interview. The second interview was with the director of sales, asked some mildly challenging questions and had you present your powerpoint slides. Asked you to sell him something.
Interviewed and then didn’t get an answer because they were looking internally. Just a very disorganized process and a waste of time for anyone externally trying to get a job at Verizon Media.
I applied online. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Yahoo (Portland, OR)
Interview
I had a brief phone interview followed by an in-person committee interview for an immediate hire. I thought it went well, did not hear from then until one year later when they offered me the job. I never received any contact or had any responses from my follow-up emails.
