I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yahoo (New York, NY) in May 2010
Interview
The hiring process was fairly basic, as I was a referral. I had an initial phone interview from a HR recruiter or talent acquisitions manager. The phone call lasted maybe 10 - 15 minutes and was very top line. I then scheduled an interview to meet a potential manager. This interview went well and I set up a 3rd interview to meet a Director, in which I was required to put together a brief Powerpoint presentation on Yahoo!.
I didn't take the job, but the interview process wasn't too bad.

Question 1
What kind of experience do you have that would be applicable to this position?
The interview process was super smooth and responsive. The yahoo team followed up regularly. The process was interview long, involving a phone screening and two zoom interviews. Upon accepting the offer, the recruiting team did a great job answering questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yahoo (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Very disappointed with the candidate experience at Yahoo. After applying online, I was contacted by a recruiter and an interview was scheduled. Just 10 minutes before the call, I was informed of an emergency and asked to reschedule. I immediately responded with my availability, but was completely ghosted despite multiple follow-ups. For a company like Yahoo, this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. It’s a complete waste of a candidate’s time and shows a lack of basic courtesy. I never expected such careless behavior from a recruiter representing a global brand—such a shame!
Ghosted by HR. I received an email to schedule an interview. I responded to the email with my availability. I never heard from them again. I sent second follow-up email a few days later. Ghosted. HR practices are horrible. Wasted my time.
