I interviewed at Yard House for a bartender position in July 2025. After checking in, I waited about 30–40 minutes past the scheduled time before the manager arrived. He apologized for the delay, which I appreciated, though a heads up would have been nice. Once the interview started, the conversation flowed well. it felt mutual, with both sides asking and answering questions comfortably. The manager explained they prefer to start new hires as servers and promote from within, which I was fine with. I left feeling optimistic based on the positive interaction. I was told they’d follow up by July 31. The next day, I called to check on the second interview and was told to expect a response by August 2. I followed up again after not hearing back and was informed they weren’t moving forward. Overall, the interview itself was a good experience, but the follow-up process was disappointing. Communication after the interview felt lacking, which was discouraging since I was genuinely interested in working there.
