The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Yelp (New York, NY) in Nov 2011
Interview
10 minute phone screening with questions like "What do you know about Yelp", "Tell me about this position", "What motivates you?", "How did you prepare for the phone screen", "In 30 seconds tell me why I should hire you."
It was too quick, and the recruiter did not seem like she was listening to me. Very fast and monotone questions, it did not seem like a conversation. A lot of background noise, you couldn't hear the questions.
Overall, not the best experience. Did not get an offer.
I applied online. I interviewed at Yelp (Wake Forest, NC)
Interview
Very professional, informative, and timely interview process. I was very impressed with how well put together the entire process was and how fast things moved. Everyone on the hiring team was extremely punctual and even willing to take extra time to make sure all your questions are answered.
