I was contacted by a recruiter on Yelp. She wanted me for the Scottsdale office, but I did not want to relocate there. I asked her to forward my resume/cv to San Francisco and she was super nice and did exactly that. 2 days later, I was contacted by the recruiter for SF and had a phone interview the next day (friday). Questions like everyone said basically: - tell me about yourself - why sales/what makes you good at sales? - persistence is key, tell me about a time you were persistent - Roleplay: she pretended to be a hair salon owner and I had to convince her/lead her into having a follow up phone call for the client to learn more about the ad program - where else are you applying? (little thrown off by this) The girl who interviewed me was pretty nice. In the middle of me telling her about myself (aka the first 20 seconds), she interrupted me mid sentence because someone from her team apparently just cut a deal. Which is great, but sort of rude since she was interviewing me. The rest of the talk (only 6 minutes) was pretty straight forward. She was pretty uninterested the entire time and was sort of just fishing for questions. She told me that the phone calls are just screening and the people who advance to the next round of interview will be contacted later in the day from the main recruiter.... Didn't hear back, so assumed I didn't get it. Waiting until the end of the weekend until there is a communication error. We shall see.
