I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA) in Oct 2013
Interview
First had a phone interview and then went through with a second interview on Skype. Phone interview went well with basic questions on what you know about Yelp and the job. Plus questions on previous work experience and about oneself. They want to see that you can communicate well on the phone and have a personality through talking on the phone. Scheduled the Skype interview for the following week and during the interview I thought it was very rushed and unprofessional. Technical difficulties with their Skype made for distractions while trying to answer their questions. The Skype interview was so rushed that it was hard to really get out everything you want to say and show them you're true personality. I would suggest doing an in person interview if possible or earlier in the day.
