I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yelp (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
Pretty straightforward overall. For me it was a phone interview and then one over skype. They asked me a lot about the products they offer. Then they had me go through a scenario where I was a yelp employee and had to talk to a business owner about the importance of yelp toward the business. Interviewer was pretty passive overall and he didn't seem like he was interested in what he was doing. All I saw this was an opportunity to get more experience interviewing.
I am still going through the interview process and staying in contact with the team while completing each step, learning more about the opportunity, and waiting for the next update.
There was a screening with a recruiter, then scheduled for a back to back interview with 2 different people. The first one seemed to have no interest in doing the interview, the second person was very nice.
Interview with recruiter went well. Was a quick get to know you, get to know your skills and mindset, etc. Next interview with hiring manager went well, I thought, but I wasn't invited to the next stage so obviously it didn't go as well as I had hoped.
