Interview
First was a pre-screen where they basically asked why you were interested in Yelp, what it was that attracted you to the job and what kind of sales experience you had before. Easy.
Next, a conversation with a recruiter who got into more personality type questions. Behavioral. Trying to make sure that your personality is a match for the laid back atmosphere that Yelp has. Easy, again.
Since I am located in New England, they had me do a Skype interview with 3 people at varying levels of the company (one who held the same position I was applying for, one who was in another department, and a higher up in the sales dept.). Lots of role playing. They like aggressive sales people who don't take no for an answer. Challenging, but very nice people.
An offer was extended two days later.
All along, there is a recruiter who will help answer your questions and guide you along the process. Mine was exceptionally nice and was willing to go above and beyond to help me make my decision. I was looking at relocation from across the country and considered visiting Phoenix to get a feel for the area. My recruiter representative offered to pick me up at the airport, show me around, etc... on a Saturday!
