I applied online. I interviewed at Yes Energy (Boulder, CO)
Interview
I was contacted by Yes Energy about a month after applying and scheduled a video call shortly after. Standard screening questions were asked and there seemed to be alignment between my skills and experience and their requirements for role. The individual conducting the screening indicated that she would be contacting me to let me know whether the hiring manager would like to move forward or not. She stated that the next step would be an interview with the hiring manager followed by a panel interview with several team members. She also let me know that the company was having their annual company retreat the following week and to not worry if I don’t hear back from her until the week after that.
I left the call feeling as though it went well. The next day, I downloaded “The Grid”, a book I was told Yes Energy asks all its employees to read. As I read, I started to become more excited about the role and thought it was good they were having their retreat the following week so I could have time to read it and be well prepped for a follow up interview.
Two weeks after our initial call, I emailed the individual I spoke with to ask if she had any updates. She replied, “I do know that the hiring manager started reviewing the applicants/answers yesterday, so I am hoping to get back with you one way or another early next week.” I never received any updates following this.
