Interview
Ok, let me start. I believe the company had no genuine intent to hire for the role of Senior International Accountant, as the position has remained open for the past 2–3 months. One candidate even rejected the offer, which is also mentioned in online reviews. They continue to schedule interviews with the US-based manager, but without conducting a proper evaluation or understanding of the candidate’s skills, they simply reject applicants by saying they’re considering other candidates.
At the very least, they should take the time to conduct a meaningful interview and ask relevant questions—but that’s clearly not happening. I had given my interview last month, yet the same job posting keeps reappearing. If the company struggles this much just to select a candidate, I honestly wonder what kind of growth or decision-making can be expected once someone actually joins.
Please don’t waste a candidate’s time. If you feel the candidate is not a good fit for the role, then provide that feedback after the first round itself. There’s no point in scheduling a second round, letting the candidate invest another 90 minutes, and then saying there was already negative feedback from the first round. This approach is simply a waste of time and shows a lack of respect for the candidate’s efforts.
