I applied online to the sales internship on a website. I received an email from their HR department a couple days later about scheduling a phone screening. The phone screening consisted of a few basic questions such as "why sales" and "why you". A couple days after that, I was invited to come into their office for an in person interview with their VP of sales. I had to sign a few papers and then interview. This interview had more basic questions about sales. I was not really prepared for it because I was not that interested in the position, and just wanted a summer internship in nyc. I think they saw this and I was not given an offer.
