I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Yext (New York, NY)
Interview
I submitted my details initially through the site, but never heard anything so I sent an email to the sales recruiting manger mentioning I was referred by my friend. She quickly responded and scheduled a phone interview. The questions were pretty straightforward, but she sounded like a total "valley girl" on the phone who was trying to get candidates to stutter with her quick questions. But they are really just looking to see if you can alway be quick with a response and sound like you know what you are talking about (important for the job). At the end she invited me for an in-person interview a few days later.
When I arrived at the office, they put me in this extremely tiny hold cell of sorts off of the main sales floor and asked me to fill out some papers. These included a full non-disclosure agreement, which asked for social security number - I left that blank for the time being. The interview consisted of meeting with each of the sales managers, who were all very nice and seemed genuinely interested in my background. The atmosphere was very casual - one of the mangers was even in her yoga sweat clothes. At the end they explained the salary and commission structure. I actually got a pretty good feeling about the company after meeting with them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They want to see that you can spew BS on command. One of the managers was grabbed a shot glass off of the desk and asked me to try to sell it to him. I'm spewed my fair share of BS in the past so it didn't seem that hard, but I can see where this can be a tense moment for some people.

Interview
Brief screening with one of the recruiters. Afterwards if they like you they'll ask you to come in and meet with the sales managers. You meet with each one and after doing so the training manager. Pretty straight forward process where they ask you goals and some simple motivation questions a swell.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yext (New York, NY) in Oct 2017
Interview
Started with a phone screening which lasted a standard 15-20 minutes. Standard question about why Yext, why sales, personal qualities that would help, and name a time when you have had to sell something. Then they brought me into the office for a full interview. First thing to do was read a script into the phone talking about the product and giving a pitch. I then met with three different managers of the sales teams for interviews lasting around 20 minutes each. It was a mix of fit questions regarding personal attributes and qualities, some more specific sales questions, and explaining the role, the company, department, and pay structure.

Interview
I applied online and the recruiter got back to me relatively quickly to schedule a phone call. The phone call went well (we discussed which start day would be better for me) and scheduled an in person interview with management. Throughout the process I was told they liked my enthusiasm, my work experience and that I was asking great questions. Needless to say I was not offered the position. I would like for the recruiter to reach out to those who didn't get the position instead of the generic email they send out. I'm not asking for a detailed written email but I would have appreciated some feedback.
