I applied in July 2025. In the initial screening, they told me they were aiming for an August start, but to let them know if I have any other interviews that may impact the timeline. I was also told conflicting things about how many stages there are and in what order the interviews will be conducted. Then, after I moved to the next stage, I was told the entire team was going away on vacation for a bit, pushing the schedule back. It seemed disorganized that the hiring manager hadn't notified the recruiter beforehand. I told them that I understood, but I was nearing offers elsewhere (which I ended up withdrawing from for unrelated reasons), so I would be thankful if they could schedule me at their earliest convenience upon return. When I reached the second stage (which I originally thought was with the hiring manager but ended up being with cross-functional teammates who didn't seem too familiar with the role
), one of the interviewers didn't show up without an explanation and it went from a panel to a 1-1 interview. I offered to reschedule so I could meet the whole team, but they proceeded anyway, which made me slightly concerned especially as the interviewer was having connectivity issues throughout (at one point, they were like "It's ok, I think I got the gist of your answer"). This was after interviewees were sent a guide on ensuring a stable internet environment. I thought I went in very prepared, so I feel like I was ultimately rejected without being given a fair chance, but perhaps the other candidates did really well. Overall, it was a disorganized process that took almost two months (with 1-2 stages still left). But I understand it was a busy time and everyone I got to speak to did seem pleasant and nice!
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Yext in Mar 2025
Interview
Applied on LinkedIn, and received an email from the talent team right away. Interviewed with talent the next day. Moved on to a video interview with the hiring manager. Was then rejected, did not move on to further rounds.
