The interview process is methodically broken down into different stages:
1. Short assignment (1-2 days)
2. Take home assignment (1 week long)
3. Phone screen
4. Final round of interviews
5. Reference checks
The first stage is pretty easy, it's more like a screening phase. To be honest, if this part seems difficult to you, it's a sign that this kind of role is perhaps does not suit you.
The second stage is quite challenging. There's a comprehensive take home assignment that has a lot of different components being tested. After the submission, expect follow up questions from the team. Really put your best foot forward here and take up as much time of the 1 week possible to really think through each of your steps and break them down logically. Be prepared to explain every assumption, calculation, logic you've used to get to your answer. Don't take the follow up questions lightly and answer them with utmost sincerity. This is by far THE most important step in the process because the work is going to be similar. So, if you didn't enjoy the assignment, then it's another sign that this might not be the best role out there for you.
The third step is a phone screen. Be ready to go thorough your resume in detail and some behavioral questions.
The fourth step will probably take 3.5-4 hours and you will interview with research analysts, engineers, VP of Product and the CEO. The questions are behavioral but mostly geared towards understanding your fit for the role and how you'd react to different situations at work. Be ready to talk about real examples from your experience.
The final stage is reference checks (~3 references). You must have 3 strong references from people who've worked closely with you and can vouch for you.
The entire process took about 2 month for me. It was by far one of the best interview processes I've had in a long time. It's quite organized, you get clear and concise details about each step, you can always reach out for help and the team is very prompt.

Recruiter did not inform me that the interview will be recorded and transcribed using a 3rd party AI tool. A few days before the interview, I received a spam email from the AI company that went into my Promotions folder, informing me that YipitData uses it to record interviews. Despite declining it from the email and checking with the recruiter, I decided not to proceed with the interview. Be careful, as they are a market research company, you never know how they will use your personal data
