Got a call from a recruiter, basic phone screening asking me about my experience and my security clearance. Approximately a month later, I got a random call saying that I’d be moving forward to the next round. Next interview was a team’s meeting with a senior a few days later. Asking more about my experience and skillsets regarding embedded systems. Mostly a cultural fit interview with light probing of relevant experience. The senior pushed me to the next round for a technical interview with a software engineer on the team. The third interview was on teams, asking about my experience and more in-depth of my experience. A coding test was also performed with the software engineer. Ultimately got the right answer for pseudocode-esque c++, but my syntax was trash. Pointers, arrays, and bit manipulation were the concepts harped on. The coding assessment was fairly simple. Got an email the 2 days after saying I was rejected. Asked for feedback and I was told that my C programming isn’t up to par with what the team is looking for.
Definitely walked away with a positive experience even if I didn’t get the job. Wasn’t the biggest fan of hearing a month later after the initial phone screening. This is a fast-paced company, they want self-starters and hard workers and conduct the interviews searching for such. It’s a simple interview process, but your weaknesses will be exposed.
