Nothing short of incredible.
The first touchpoint was on LinkedIn, where a recruiter contacted me. The job description was well written and carefully thought out.
When we spoke on the phone, the recruiter was cool as a cucumber, and we had a great conversation about the company, the industry, etc.
Next was an interview with the hiring manager. She asked very insightful questions and provided detailed answers. She was professional and personable, which made it easy to connect and discuss compatibility for the role.
Then came a technical assessment in SQL, which was relatively straightforward if you have experience using Joins, CTE, and window functions.
The next round was with the hiring manager and director of BI. The interview tested knowledge of the SaaS business model, customer journey, and key metrics.
I was asked to analyze/suggest improvements to a sales funnel, describe the customer experience, and consider how I might visualize standard SaaS metrics.
This interview was challenging yet very engaging, and both interviewers provided helpful hints when I was stuck.
The final round was with the director and a cross-functional team member. This round focused on culture fit, long term compatibility rather than technical questions.
Overall a refreshing and smooth candidate experience that I enjoyed at every stage. My advice to any other candidate would be to show up prepared and with good vibes :).
