Fast-moving interview timeline but inevitably this engagement was a huge waste of time, not only for me but for the Yotpo team as well.
As a more senior candidate, I was surprised to be included in the process at first. However the recruiter encouraged my candidacy and I was assured by multiple participants that they loved my brand background.
As the interviews progressed (1 phone screen + 6 unique Zoom calls), the process became less organized including being sent 2 differing "take-home" assignments, when there was supposed to be only 1. Unclear emails also made the timeline unclear and I spent part of July 4th weekend rushing to complete the second assignment (just after stepping off a plane).
Finally, after my final interview/presentation, I was complimented by my would-be boss on how comprehensive and professional my work was.
A few days later - an email to say there would be no offer. To say I was shocked was an understatement.
This employer was aware that I was furloughed and relying on consulting work in the short-term. Sadly, I set aside paid consulting work to accommodate all the demands of this process (amidst other interviews at other firms).
I wish I had never heard of Yotpo - and emphatically recommend that all DO NOT APPLY and do not lose the valuable time that I did.
Final note - after all those hours, they did not even respond to my email request for feedback.
