I have never left -- and wasn't planning on leaving -- a Glassdoor interview review until I saw the most recent marketing interview review and would like to point out a worrisome pattern with Yotpo's hiring process. My goal is to warn future candidates to not waste their time being tricked into providing uncompensated labor for the company. Please spend your time and energy finding a more respectful and honest company instead.
I pulled out of the process after I received the 'Practical Exercise'. Luckily for me, I received and accepted an offer from another company and did not bother waste my time with Yotpo. I've included the prompts below, and please note, they removed the 30/60/90 exercise (the industry norm for a project) during the process.
It is absurd to ask an applicant to draft creative as part of a project, especially one who has not been properly onboarded to the company's brand guidelines, including the value prop, messaging, and visual identity at the very least.
(Please note: The recruiter was great to work with, and this review is by no means a reflection on the recruiter.)
