I applied online. I interviewed at ZL Technologies (Chicago, IL) in Jan 2026
Interview
They reached out to schedule an interview a week or so after I submitted my application, but it got pushed out to a little over a month after application date due to health issues. Then, they asked a couple of generic demographic questions such as my citizenship status, where I am from, whether or not I would be willing to relocate, graduation date, and what sorts of jobs I am applying for. After literally maybe 5 minutes, the interviewer sent me a link to an online assessment to complete, then they got me set up with that and left the call for me to complete it. It was a timed test with about 16 minutes and 50 math questions. Simple math questions and probably easy for people who are good at math (It unfortunately takes me more time than most to evaluate certain problems).

Interview
Asked odd questions, more personal than job specific. Asked about my finances and relationships with other people. I got the sense that they were trying to manipulate candidates somehow. They also ask you for an interview and make you take a math test but they pretend that it will be a phone interview. Stay away and do not even consider working for them. Do not apply.
