Interview
In one word "Ridiculous"!!
It all started with a 30 min online aptitude test, a little bit like SAT. This was followed by a one-sided video interview questions where I recorded video responses and submitted them.
Then I was invited for an onsite interview where I was given another 16 min math quiz for some reason. I interviewed for 5 HOURS with 6 PEOPLE one after the other. It seemed like a total waste of time as only two senior interviewers asked useful questions. The rest kept repeating the same generic interview questions which just felt repetitive and a total waste of my time.
This lot of interviewers included two individuals who had graduated barely a year ago from their undergraduate degrees & had a mere 1 year of work experience, which showed in their questioning lol. To bring it into context, I have over 10 years of work experience and a masters degree.
One such amateur interviewer with an extremely disrespectful, cocky attitude kept asking random questions and was clearly not prepared. She further proceeded with making casual insulting comments, verging on being racist. Advice to ZL, please don't use High School kids for interviews cause thats exactly how she behaved. Most of her questions would make HR cringe.
Overall, the place just looked depressing!! Everyone one I spoke to and observed around the office appeared as if life had been sucked out of them. Low morale was quite evident. Things looked quite dead.
My conclusion was that the company is targeting fresh undergrads with little experience & no relevant education to just make do in certain roles. In return, theses individuals settle for low salaries. A bad policy overall, resulting in a lack of professionalism and the company's overall bleak growth.
I did not get an offer, but walking out after the interview I was sure that I would never want to work here.
