I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ZS Associates in Feb 2018
Interview
Applied through my school's career website. A couple weeks later, got an email from a recruiter to schedule an initial phone conversation. Looking more into the company and position (through previous Glassdoor posts), I realized the role called for a lot more marketing skills (I study engineering and have never taken an econ class before). So during my initial phone conversation, I told her my concern and she said not to worry. Later I was scheduled for a back to back behavioral phone interview and a case interview via WebEx. Both interviewers were late. The first interviewer (for behavioral) kept interrupting me, and then I started to experience bad phone connection so I could barely hear him at the end. The second interview consisted of at least two case interviews. For someone who has marketing background, it's probably really straightforward. But be aware if you know that your marketing knowledge is lacking. The interviewer seemed impatient that I was working slowly. We kept running into minor technical difficulties with WebEx. I felt like both interviewers were under-prepared and unenthusiastic about their roles. Both had engineering degrees and whenever I asked why they went into a consulting company, they seemed unsure of their own decision.

Question 1
Being from a tech background they asked me why do i want to shift to consulting role
Smooth and transparent. Technical and manager rounds are mostly constitutes around how you go about a problem/situation, thinking process and execution. Overall, the entire process depends on how you go about it, just need to be confident and cognitively strong with good thinking and problem solving skills
The interview process was condensed to interviews, both split between a behavioral section and case study section. For the case studies they do require you to read many charts and graphs.
