Interview
ZS is known for its tough selection process. My selection started with giving an online aptitude test after which I didn't hear from them for almost a month. Later when I enquired about the result, an HR screening telephonic round was set up for the next day. This round was basic. It involved solving a guesstimate and some basic HR questions. After having cleared this round, I was invited for the face to face discussion. They hold a collective drive. In mine there were 20 people who then appeared for the business case study round. Around 40 minutes are given to solve a case which is a sales and marketing business case study involving 2/3 quantitative and 1/2 qualitative questions. Post this, there is a discussion of around 45 minutes around the case. This level has the highest elimination with only around 40% making it to the next round. Since it was already quite late, the next rounds were scheduled for later. The second round with the manager was a telephonic round wherein general questions about the profile were asked. There was also a much detailed guesstimate given followed by relevant qestions about the same. After this comes the final round with the Principal. It is a general discussion about ZS, the role and some HR questions. The results of the process are shared the same day. And the offer was released within two days of the final round.

Being from a tech background they asked me why do i want to shift to consulting role
Smooth and transparent. Technical and manager rounds are mostly constitutes around how you go about a problem/situation, thinking process and execution. Overall, the entire process depends on how you go about it, just need to be confident and cognitively strong with good thinking and problem solving skills
The interview process was condensed to interviews, both split between a behavioral section and case study section. For the case studies they do require you to read many charts and graphs.
