I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ZS Associates (Bengaluru) in Jul 2019
Interview
There are 2 phases of selection. In first phase there will be an online test and if you clear online test then you get online recorded video interview round. Online test consists of 55 questions to be solved in 50 minutes where 45 questions will be based on aptitude and 10 questions on C++/C, data structures, OOPS concepts. Aptitude questions were of standard level and must be solved fast. Followed by video interview which will have 8 questions - 4 technical, 4 behavioural questions . you will be given 1 minute to prepare for answer and 3 minute to answer it. Question consisted of guesstimates questions like water used in a day in your city and so on. Second phase had three rounds of interview. first round was case study round where they give you a case and you have to solve it in half an hour and then -explain the same to the interviewer. It will be a plus point if you know sql but focus will be on your algorithm thus even non-cse guy like me can get selected if you can explain your algorithm to case study properly. They made us wait for a very long time. second round was technical cum behavioural round where another interview asked me to fully explain my project and few basic programming questions and concepts. third round was HR interview which was over telephone. Some senior manager questioned us like why zs? being a non-cse guy how will you fit in this role? what does company do? Overall the process was lengthy but good.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain case study algorithm properly.
guesstimate questions like no. of cabs going to and fro from airport in a day. they asked few puzzles too. behavioural round will go for long and interviewer might test you on various things like your resume, your life decisions.
Lengthy and time consuming but process is very good nothing casual and systematic I cleared 3 rounds and in the last round I didn't get positive feedback. So process was nice but we can't say how they judge you even in the last round and reject you.
