I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ZS Associates (Pune) in Jun 2019
Interview
I applied through Linkedin and received a mail from the HR after a few days. I gave the online test from home. Test was average level. Questions were from DI, Quant, Verbal and a few from reasoning. Anyone with a good grasping power will easily get through this round.
I received a mail from the HR after 3 days stating that I have successfully cleared the written round and will be contacted by the team within a week. I got a call after around 8 days of receiving the mail. It was a 5 minute HR interview at the end of which, I was asked to attend the interviews at Pune office within a week.
All arrangements were made by the company. They provided flight tickets, hotel accommodation, cabs, food coupons everything. I reached Pune a night before my scheduled interview day.
The first round was a case round. We were given a sales case study which had some graphs and 2 quantitative question + 4-5 Theoretical questions (It was mostly a mixture of CAT level DI question and some business concepts). Again any one with good knack of numbers will easily solve the quantitative question. For qualitative questions just read about profit, revenue, sales etc. and go through a few case studies available on internet. 40 min were given to solve these questions after which candidates were called one by one for interview. The interviewer just asked for the approach of each and every question followed by some cross questions. This round is major elimination round. In our batch 12/30 were able to clear this round.
A few people had their second round that day itself. But as the number of senior consultants were less in the office that day, we were informed that we will have are 2nd round on telephone next week. So I came back to my home next day.
After 2 days I received a call from the HR regarding the timing of 2nd round of interview. I received a call on time. The Interviewer was very friendly. Interview started with tell me about yourself, followed by discussion on my final year project. Then I was given a guesstimate to solve. A few team work questions were asked such as what will you do if a member in your team is not working and your work is dependent on his work? It was a 25 min interview, overall a good experience.
Next day I received a call from HR stating that I have successfully cleared the 2nd round and confirmed the timing for the 3rd round. This round also started with tell me about yourself followed by a project discussion. A few questions asked were.. Was it a group project? how will your group partners rate you on a scale of 10? What was your exact role? Why did you choose only this role? Then followed a few team work questions. The interviewer did not seem very satisfied with my answers. A guesstimate was asked based on ZS office where I estimated the no. of employees very wrong and the interviewer responded.. Do you even know about the company??? I told whatever I could recall. He corrected the no. of employees and then I resolved the guesstimate. Then he asked Why ZS?? and a few followup questions based on my answer.
It was very unprofessional of the company that they did not inform me about the results of the last round. I mailed the HR the next day inquiring about the results but did not get any response. I waited for another day and then called the HR, she told me that I was not able to clear the last round. At lest they could have informed me earlier even if the results were negative.

Question 1
Being from a tech background they asked me why do i want to shift to consulting role
The interview process was condensed to interviews, both split between a behavioral section and case study section. For the case studies they do require you to read many charts and graphs.

Question 1
Given information about electric vehicles, which city would I advise adding EV chargers and what sites in that city?
Smooth and transparent. Technical and manager rounds are mostly constitutes around how you go about a problem/situation, thinking process and execution. Overall, the entire process depends on how you go about it, just need to be confident and cognitively strong with good thinking and problem solving skills
