After meeting with a recruiter I was scheduled to meet with the Director of Engineering next. Seemed a little high of a position to have my second interview with but it turns out they are the manager of the manager of the position I was interviewing for. The recruiter who reached out to me said the position was for a Validation Engineer but the director told me it was actually for a Configuration Manager. The description of this position was very far off from the one originally explained to me which was a bit concerning. The conversation went well and it was entirely a behavioral interview. I was asked simple questions about my work and my interest in the role as it was explained. The interview resulted in another interview getting scheduled with the team's manager.
