      FMV Analyst Interview

      Jan 14, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer

      Application

      I interviewed at Zel Technologies

      Interview

There was no interview,no negotiation. The interview took less than ten minutes. The program manager stated that should I not accept the grossly gouged salary, there were plenty of new hires that would be willing to take the job for under the already below national average salary.

Unfortunately what you are describing was not an interview but the salary offer meeting we had with every individual when we transitioned the contract. As an interview I would have rated it poorly as well, but it was not an interview or a negotiation at the time, because I had already brought forth the best offer I could provide anyone at the time, based on billet funds, employee experience, and reputation with the customer. I am disappointed that you are implying I threatened you with outsiders interested in the position. If I came across that way I do apologize. My intent in that part of the discussion was to inform you of how the environment was changing. At the 11IS, for the past 8 years, we have been in a protective bubble to an extent. I use the term "we" because I worked on the same PED floor from 2007-2013 before I went to work on the AFSOC/A2 staff. My intent was to prevent folks from making a potential emotional/rash decision to leave without exploring their options. As I stated, we had applicants waiting to get in the door, but I truly empathize with the situation and stress that folks were going through and wanted to retain who I could. As I stated on multiple times, why take a 100% pay cut when you could use the time to look for a job (if that was what was best for you and the family) while you had a job. Perception is everything though, and if I did not come across as I intended I truly apologize. V/R, Christopher Brewer Zel Technologies LLC. AFSOC ISR PED Senior PM

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Zel Technologies

      Interview

Zel Technologies took over the primary slot on a government contract from MacAulay-Brown. All of the benefits and entitlements were kept confidential from the employees until the offer-letters were provided. There was no salary or benefits negotiation involved, and employees took a 20%-40% pay cut across-the-board.
