I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Zendesk (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2015
Interview
I came in through the side door. I had previously worked with my manager and a few colleagues so the interview process was easy. Despite having friends on the inside, I still had to be interviewed by 5 or 6 people in addition to the recruiter. We got most things done in the first day.

Question 1
Describe an example of a time when you had to deal with a difficult stakeholder.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk in Jan 2022
Interview
1. 30 minute phone screen with recruiter
2. 1 hour zoom interview with the hiring manager
3. 30 minute meeting with another recruiter
4. A 4 hour zoom session with 4 separate interviewers. The last interview was a presentation of an original program plan prepared to review for the interview.
Checked in with the recruiter and was told she would reach out to me the next day with a decision. I have not heard back. Two weeks after the final interview, I received an automated email stating the job posting was closed. Given I spent 6 hours in interviews plus was required to put together a program plan and presentation, this was a time commitment. A direct response with a decision one way or the other would have been professional.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Zendesk (Portland, OR) in Feb 2021
Interview
The recruiters are very personable, and what I love about Zendesk is that they are very open from the beginning about salary ranges. I would say that you can expect to interview with 5 different people in the final round. I will be interviewing with them again.
