10 minute recruiter screen, followed by 30 minute interview with the hiring manager. I had requested a 45 minute interview, and the recruiter confirmed, somehow the hiring manager seem to have forgotten this. They seem to be thoroughly disorganized. This is a director level position, yet the hiring manager asked some really basic questions that would normally only be asked for new MBA graduates. Questions like "how do you do a product launch" are not what you would ask people with over 10 years experience. The hiring manager also did not seem to be a strong leader. A brief check on LinkedIn revealed that she had only stayed at her previous company for a little over a year, and her new role at Zendesk seemed to be a step down. She was also quite rude when I asked her what her organization looked like, and snapped back by asking if this had not been explained to me by the recruiter, to which I answered that it had not. The company seems to be highly stressful atmosphere, from my interaction, and a lot of flux.
