I applied online. I interviewed at Zendesk (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2017
Interview
Interviewed with the recruiter on the phone and she moved me forward to the next round. The hiring manager mentioned that he had no hesitations moving me forward and would sync up with the recruiter for next steps, which led me to believe that I moved to the on-site interview.
After emailing the recruiter, she responded saying that the hiring manager ended up moving forward with other candidates.
In this situation, transparency and genuineness are keys to not wasting yours and my time. I would've rather had the hiring manager tell me the truth and mention that he had concerns moving me forward, rather than leaving me high and dry.
Zendesk is a well-reputed company, so please ensure that your employeees are transparent and not fake.

I applied online. I interviewed at Zendesk (Lisbon, Lisbon District) in Nov 2024
Interview
Very clear and well-structured recruitment process
Transparent expectations at every stage, no surprises
Interviewers were kind, supportive, and genuinely interested in getting to know me
Great balance between professionalism and human connection
Fast feedback and clear communication throughout the process
The recruitment experience truly reflects the company culture and values
I felt respected, listened to, and supported from start to finish
