I applied through other source. I interviewed at Zendesk in Aug 2019
Interview
I thought they contacted me for a challenging role, but they didn't check my CV. They expected experience with roles I didn't have and told me they will contact me if they see a good match in the future. My guess is that they automatic interview scheduling system failed or they needed the number for some reason. A shame, specially for me. It was rare, because they contacted me directly... I didn't apply for that position.

Question 1
Do you usually work as a part of a bigger team or by yourself?
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zendesk in Dec 2021
Interview
The process goes like this.
1. Recruiter call.
2. Hiring manager call.
3. Coding session.
4. System design and more technical interview
5. Cultural fit interview
Call with Recruiter and Hiring manager went pretty smooth.
And for the live coding session, I paired up with a Senior technical member of the same team. He asked for write some implementation.
Although the requirement was pretty simple, he never let me write any code at all. He asked multiple questions for each and every letter I typed and every word I spoken. He did not waited for me to complete anything. It was insulting too.
One of the worst coding interviews I ever had.
I cannot understand what kind of technical evaluation is this.
