Very unorganized and inconsiderate of other's time. The recruiter cancelled 5 minutes before the call and rescheduling was more difficult than it should have been. After rescheduling, it seemed like the recruiter did not even want to be there and was just checking a box. The questions were very broad (tell me about the last 15 years of your career) and she seemed to have a very limited, surface level understanding of software sales -yet commented that selling low-code/no-code consulting services and platform subscriptions was "basic" and not enough. I asked about the sales style of ZenDesk, explaining that I typically close 60k-125k+ deals after 3-4 meetings, and would not be a good fit for a volume business looking for someone to close multiple deals a week on the first call. She said she did not know and that would be a question for the hiring manager. It surprised me that the recruiter did not know anything about the sales style/ expectations other than "relationships are important." Finally, she explained that they were looking with someone with more software experience, which is understandable, but they had my resume and knew the experience I had. When I asked about the particular position she scheduled the call for she explained that her co-worker set up this call and they just like to talk to candidates and "keep a pipeline". Overall, seemed like the recruiter had an activity goal to meet.
