I applied online. I interviewed at Zendesk (Denver, CO) in Feb 2023
Interview
Lined up initial phone interview with recruiter. Straight forward. Asked about job history and achievements. Asked questions around problem solving and account management. It was my first interview in seven years and I bombed it - the writing was on the wall. Instead of saying "sorry, we moved on to other candidates," the recruiter kept emailing me they had interest and were still interviewing, leading me on there was a chance. Then I received an auto-email that I was not selected to move forward.
Quick process; a few interviews (initial phone screen, then hiring manager, then team members). More relaxed interview style/conversational discussing past experiences and situational questions. Interviewers were open, honest, and personable.
