      Engineer Interview

      Jul 15, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Zenuity (New York, NY)

      Interview

I applied on their website. First, I had a quick interview with HR asking typical recruiting questions. Next, I had a Skype/phone interview with the hiring manager and team lead. Lastly, I was invited for an onsite interview, which took 3 long hours. I met with HR and the hiring manager, explained the company structure and benefits. Then I met with 4-5 of my potential peers who were basically a technical firing squad that lasted 90 min. After that, I met with the hiring manager again and another manager for more questions. After all that stress and trouble of taking time off of work, I didn't get an offer. I felt that I was led on because I don't know any company that gives a candidate a tour of the facility and explain all the benefits WITHOUT any intention of hiring them. Although the company is evaluating a potential candidate, the company is being evaluated as well. There's no need to waste a candidate's time if there is no intention of hiring this person.
