Initial phone interview with recruiter who was 10 minutes late and then the hiring manager who was equally as late. Not a great first impression. The interview with hiring manager was extremely rushed. She didn't really go into detail about the position or ask too much about my background. Just very straight to the point with her questions which is not uncommon but frankly I'm not too sure what information an employer could truly gain about a candidate with that type of questioning especially over a telephone. If you actually want to find someone who is the right fit for the position and also for the company, invite them into your office and make the interview more personal. You may just actually get to know the candidate on a deeper level and not pass judgement based on a few questions they were rushed to answer.
