Applied online via LinkedIn, and was contacted shortly for a preliminary situational questionnaire, which I did well on because I was then interviewed via online chat for additional questions and met with one of the regional managers. She walked me through the structure of Zirtual including the pay structure. I was then moved onto the formal round of interviews which took up most of the day since that round comprised of 2, 1 hour sessions with other managers and an extensive set of quizzes to complete within a fixed timeframe. This is where is turns a bit negative for me. There is A LOT of material thrown at you to read through and digest which is where the quizzes get their questions from. As most humans do, mistakes are inevitable, to which after you complete and submit your quizzes, the managers will email you to correct any mistakes you made but upon doing so, the system does not save any of your original work so you'd have to resubmit everything from square one by a certain deadline which to me seems unrealistic and pressured to complete flawlessly. Zirtual also has their own in-house platform where all of your work, clients, projects, pay, etc. lives, like a one stop shop for everything. It is not intuitive if you're a newcomer and they don't do a good job of explaining all it's nooks and crannies, so as possible candidate as a VA, this platform is very confusing to navigate which is also tested. I was ultimately not hired due to not being able to quickly enough learn their platform. I was insulted given that I had been an executive assistant for a major investment bank and they dropped me simply due to a slight formality. I do not recommend applying to Zirutal if you are looking to be taken seriously as an assistant or make a decent living.
