If the low starting pay isn't a problem for you, my overall impression of the company was a good one. It's a good place to begin a job as a virtual assistant
When you apply you are asked to complete some tasks. The first task is to answer some questions about yourself and how your are aligned with their core mission/vales. After that first gate you are asked to complete three tasks that you would be expected to do for a client. Example, in my case I was asked to research credit card offers, research possible items to add to an overseas travel itinerary, and research domestic flight options. These two steps can take a lot of time. I put a fair bit of thought into two out of the three answers for the three tasks. Those tasks do give you a good idea about whether or not you want to do this kind of work.
If you make it through the three-tasks step, you are invited to a virtual interview. Basic interview questions, no surprises here. I didn't make it to another interview, likely because I was looking for opportunities for growth. They really want people who want to be virtual assistants as a career.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Zirtual
Interview
This was an online interview via webcam. I completed a number of sample tasks that they screened, and was then selected for an interview. I received an offer by the following evening.
The google hangout was on time, you have exactly 30 minutes with the interviewer because they have others they have scheduled. Overall it was very relaxed. Be sure to have headphones with a mic handy, there's some feedback if not. I went through the whole process only to be put on hold because they pushed back trainee start dates. I'm still in limbo waiting to hear anything.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Zirtual (Las Vegas, NV) in Jun 2015
Interview
The first thing was a skills test, which I passed with flying colors. It was not difficult and anyone with a basic command of the English language should be able to pass. I received an email shortly after asking if i was interested in a phone interview. I did the phone interview within a couple of days then was scheduled for an in-person interview two days after that. I was told during my in-person interview that I was hired!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer asked if I had experience in being a virtual or in-person assistant. She also asked how I handled stress.
