I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Zirtual (Denver, CO) in Jan 2015
Interview
The online and pre-interview process was well laid out and straight forward. As a former corporate manage I appreciated it. My challenge came with the 1:1 video conference interview. I was very excited to interview with this company after reading their mission, vision and goals on their website. They stressed relationship and people in all areas. However, once I got to the 1:1 part of the process, I was not impressed. First, their 1:1 interview is 20 minute time slots with NO overage. My interview time was impinged on by delay then technical issues from my interviewer. Once we got started she was very nice until I began asking some questions about work logistics and the company. Then she seems a bit put off. Finally, even though my interview didn't start until about 10 minutes late, at the end of my 20 minute time slot she ended the interview and that was it. By this time I had decided that I wasn't interested in working for them, which I indicated, so no surprise that I was not offered a position. However, after such a major stress about being people driven I was sent a standard form letter style email. Not super impressed overall.

Question 1
The questions were all standard experience history, strength, weakness, and why do you want to work with us type
I applied for an virtual assistant role with Zirtual and several days after was contacted to for an initial interview, which would be via chat format (already off to an odd start). During the 20 minute block the recruiter asked me 2 questions and was unresponsive for 5-10 minutes at a time. Her first question was if I had read the job description, I responded I had. Afterwards she asked me if I had any questions, I asked what it took to be a successful contractor with Zirtual, she said effective communication and asked me no further questions. At this point she let me know I would be moving forward to the next interview stage.
In the same week I was scheduled for a Zoom call with a recruiter. She asked me about my previous experiences, I gave her a breakdown of my previous administrative and remote EA roles. Her next question was about salary expectations to which I responded approximately 65k annually and she told me because of that, this likely would not be a good fit. She explained that most assistants do not make "that much" money and could not give me a straight answer about what the average salary looked like for their assistants.
This company seems like a wash and I would not waste your time here. Theyre overcharging companies for virtual assistants and keeping the bulk of it. The interview process was odd and I would not recommend taking a job here.
The Zirtual interview process was honestly frustrating and felt like a waste of time. It’s a three-day assessment process, and after finishing all of that, you’re given a mock interview that you only have half a day to prepare for — and it still has to be completed by 4 PM ET, including another assessment. The amount of prep work and time they expect in such a short window is unrealistic.

Question 1
How would hours from my package be split across the month?
Good company. Healthy environment and anyone can focus in their goals and needs. I had to transfer jobs but it was the tough decision ever in my life. It was nice to have worked for this company.
