I got a call from a consultancy hiring for a direct role at ZICC Hyderabad. The consultancy mandated me to complete a proctored test of 30 questions[time-30 minutes]. Then there were 2 rounds of virtual interview followed by another round of virtual interview with US management from the Hyderabad office that marked the end of the technical interviews. The technical interview rounds went for 2.5 months and in the end, I wasn't informed anything about the status. While I used to think that the hiring processes at GCCs go very organized and professional, this experience proved me that I am totally wrong. Clearly the main interviewer lacked transparency, clarity, direction and standards on the hiring. They clearly wasted 4 hours of my time and efforts.
