I interviewed with Zoom for a Data Developer job. The process iinvolved: an initial HR screening followed by three technical rounds, including an in-person/on-site interview.
I successfully completed all technical rounds, with the assessments producing correct results and discussions going as expected. Despite this, the feedback shared after the final round was that I “did not seem interested in the role,” which was difficult to comprehend with the effort invested throughout the process, including attending the onsite interview.
There was also a significant delay in communication. An initial indication was given that an update would be shared within a few days, but the final outcome was communicated 4-5 weeks later, stating that another candidate had been selected despite clearing all rounds.
The combination of contradictory feedback and delayed communication made the overall experience frustrating and confusing.
Advice to Management:
Ensure that evaluation criteria are applied consistently and that feedback shared with candidates accurately reflects their interview performance. Timely and transparent communication would significantly improve the experience.
