Interview
The people I met during the interview process were great and all very friendly and professional. The process itself though seemed disorganized and not personal. I did not receive timely follow-up, and never really knew what the next step in the process was and everything took longer than expected. It was interesting that after so many weeks and talking to several people, I never got a phone call or personal email, but rather got a stock auto-rejection from a non-monitored email address letting me know I was not selected. I loved the people I met, but the recruiting process left a bad taste in my mouth and was a red flag for how they treat people.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Zoom Communications in Jan 2022
Interview
The recruiter was condescending and didn't seem to understand the role I was interviewing for. He ignored most of what I said in the interview, repeatedly engaged with 5-10 year old experiences on my resume to imply that I was unqualified, and pushed me toward considering entry-level roles despite my 15+ years of directly relevant talent development experience and the fact I'd been referred by the hiring manager.
