Interview with VP > Interview with HR > Interview with Product Evangelist The VP spent the entire interview commenting on how unprofessional, embarrassing and overall terrible my website and writing samples are, only to realize after 45 minutes, that he confused me with someone else entirely. After that, I did not want to come for a second interview, but was convinced by the HR, who apologized on the VP's behalf for how he treated me. I came for an hour long "tell me about your childhood" interview with HR, followed by half an hour wait for the Product Evangelist, who then ripped my writing samples to shreds, even though it was clear to me his writing style is outdated and his review unfair (and amazingly unkind). After being insulted by him for 15 minutes I decided I had enough, stopped the interview, got out to inform the HR I am not interested in working with such rude people and left. Never in my (very) long career in high-tech have I been treated like this in a job interview process. It felt like I was actually summoned to be fired for being the world shittiest writer. I left there crying with disappointment and anger, and feeling very stupid for returning after the first interview, which should have been enough for me stay away from this company.
