I was contacted for a first stage interview with a recruiter at Zscaler for an Account Executive position implying that I successfully passed the screening stage.
The recruiter started by saying that it was going to be an informal call however it was apparent that she was simply following a script (nothing unusual)... Towards the end of the call I simply asked what the salary band was for the role as it was never discussed, at this stage the recruiter snapped and suggested that this was a red flag as you should be excited to join Zscaler for the learning opportunity rather than remuneration.
A few days later the recruiter followed up with a rejection email.

Classic SaaS company process. Screening, Hiring Manager, Panel interview.
My process ended after meeting the Hiring Manager as the market is very competitive with strong field of talent. I was having less experience in cyber security than others.

Screening is all standard questions on sales methodology, customer type and so forth.

What's the deal from you last role that you are most proud of and why?
In you sales process, how do you like to approach an account that's a hunting new logo?
Lengthy but fair. Prepare to know the solutions and what they solve for. All the leaders seemed extremely friendly and passionate about the solution and what they deliver to their customers. Overall good experience.
Interviewer used MEDDIC and objection handling off the bat and stressed the importance of this in the GTM motion at the company. Interviewer was arrogant and unhelpful overall bad impression of the company and kind of people working there
